Since it’s founding in 1997 Pacific Weather has performed contracts for the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) the National Weather Service (NWS) and US Navy (DoD). Pacific Weather’s provides solutions for staffing, management, and performance of operations at weather stations located at the largest international airports in the United States as well as some of the most important Naval Air Stations aviation training bases.

Pacific Weather has also performed Weather Forecasting/Observing Contracts on task order with the U.S. Navy throughout the Gulf Coast of the United States (NFW, NSE, NPA, NQX, NBG, NGB, NQI, NQX, NMM) as well as upper air services for National Weather Service at Denver CO (DNR), San Diego CA (SGX) and Quillayute WA (UIL).

Current Employment

We employ a large diverse workforce of meteorological technicians (weather observers) and meteorologist (weather forecasters). Among the tasks our employees perform include: taking surface weather observations, issuing weather forecasts that include storm warnings, pilot briefings. Our staff works closely with air traffic control personnel to provide updated weather information to ensure aviation safety and disseminate weather information throughout the National Airspace System (NAS). Throughout the term of its federal contracts Pacific Weather has continually received excellent performance reports on site inspections conducted by Navy, FAA and NWS personnel.
